Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif emphasized about the benefits of CPEC in the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong. He said that the project will create about 8 lac jobs for locals which help in elevating the standard of the lowest class in Pakistan.
The Spokesperson of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying said that Pakistan and China will work together in CPEC to generate economic benefits for both of the countries. She said that Pakistan Government has invested $1.7 billion for CPEC and other projects, and through the project of One Belt One Road (OBOR) the problems of Infrastructure, Energy and Transport will be solved.
She emphasized that Pakistan and India should now solve the Kashmir issue by some negotiation and should make a peaceful way out of this long lasting problem.
She said that CPEC is all about economic cooperation between 2 countries and it would make no difference China’s stance on the issue of Kashmir, hence its clear that CPEC is not against any country. China and India have problems on borders but we should have talks with each other to fix these instability across the border.
In the end she appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to make CPEC a successful venture and in future this will benefit not only the 2 countries but several countries that will be part of this project.
