Pak-China Cultural Caravan on CPEC route will take place in August

According a recent report, Pakistan and China will embark upon Cultural Caravan on CPEC route in order to strengthen the cultural, economic connectivity of the region. The initiative will also serve to present the soft image and trade potential of the region.

 Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb together with with Chinese Minister for Culture will launch the Cultural Caravan from Urumqi (China) in August. The 60-member troupe would comprise Pakistani and Chinese dancers, artists, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, anthropologists as well as writers. They would ride on  15 vehicles that would reach Gwadar in about a month’s period from Urumqi.

Caravan would pass via Athushi, Thumshuk, Shulay, Shefu, Akto and Tashgul in China, and Gilgit to Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Sukkur, Karachi and Gwadar in Pakistan.
