Report: Pakistan, Maldives sign 6 MoUs

Pakistan and Maldives has just signed 6 MoUs pertaining to trade, education, climate change, tourism, training of diplomats as well as capacity building of civil servants. PM Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom witnessed the signing ceremony. The MoUs  will help in developing the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The MoUs were signed during PM Nawaz’s visit to Maldives. Maldives and Pakistan have historically close friendly relations based on mutual understanding, goodwill and Islamic brotherhood.

At the invitation of, President of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, PM Nawaz undertook an official visit to Maldives from 25-27 July 2017. He participated in the 52nd Independence Day celebrations of the Republic of Maldives, as the chief guest.
