A high level meeting was held held recently under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in order to review various programmes regarding Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day celebrations.
The Chief Minister said that Pakistan came into being after unlimited sacrifices as the Muslims of Indo-Pak Sub-continent have rendered historic struggle for a separate homeland. Living nations celebrate their Independence Day in a befitting manner, he noted.
The 70th Independence Day of Pakistan will be celebrated with full fervor. The 70th anniversary of Independence Day is a great occasion and we should assess our successes and losses on this special occasion as well, CM stated.
Special functions will be held at provincial, divisional, district, tehsil and union council level. In addition, historic as well as important buildings will be decorated as well, he mentioned. Special programmes will be held in educational institutions besides holding of city parade, he noted.
