3 Pakistani youngsters have recently made Pakistan proud by winning The Queen’s Young Leaders Award. Haroon Yasin, Hassan Mujtaba, and Mahnoor Syed are the lucky ones who have won the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards 2018.
The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme is meant to discovers and support outstanding young people from across the Commonwealth.
The founder of Orenda, an organization which engages children from underprivileged backgrounds and provides them opportunity to get high-quality education, Haroon Yasin is one of the winners of this prestigious award. His organization vows to digitize Pakistan’s education system.
Mahnoor joined hands with 7 schools in order to support in co-curricular activities for the underprivileged children at first. Now it has 300 volunteers that are wokring for the cause. Some of the issues that students are taught to handle include bullying, child abuse, as well as mental and physical health. Mahnoor has partnered with with ‘Khwajasara Support’ in order to train 50 transgender people for a better future.
Hassan Mujata is the other recipient of the award who is the founder of Discovering New Artists (DNA). He is dedicated to providing free art, primary, and secondary education to underprivileged kids. DNA funds the schools by raising money via a number of channels.
