A “Pakistan Food Extravaganza” was held in Beijing. The event was organized by the Pakistan’s Embassy in China in order to promote culture and food among the foreigners. The festival would last till 23rd January in Beijing at China World Hotel. It was inaugurated by the Ambassador Khalid Masood. Famous Pakistani cuisines like Haleem, Biryani and Sajji along with many other delicacies were also introduced at the festival.
The idea behind this launch was to give an opportunity to the foreigners food lovers in a beautiful city of Beijing to explore the culture and food of Pakistan. While inaugurating the festival the Ambassador Khalid Masood said that the embassy has presented culture and food along with a real touch and feel of the Pakistan’s traditional music. Pakistani foods are unique in their taste and presentation. While commenting about the introduction of variety of Pakistani foods, Zhang Shixuan a Chinese Urdu poet said:
“I love Pakistani food, it seems as I am celebrating Eid today.”
During the festival the magical aroma of spics coming out of famous Pakistani’s foods just created a magic spell across the exciting Beijing city. It made the Chinese people and foreigners felt tempted to enjoy the food and music of Pakistan. Mouthwatering foods offered a different food experience for people altogether.
The Ambassador Masood Khalid also said that the cuisines of Pakistan are based on its fine cooking skills and long historic tradition that adds up to its uniqueness in taste and presentation.
The festival is a friendly channel to attract the food lovers and the people who want to taste a variety food with unique flavors and elegant culinary art experiences. The people belonging to various nationalities, diplomats as well as different media groups of Beijing attended the festival that will continue till 23rd January 2018.
