Aid for Pakistan’s health sector announced by Bill Gates

The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates who is worldly known for his bighearted humanitarian acts is also the second richest man in the world.  He has been extensively involved in donating to social organizations that includes the largest donation of this century that is $4.6 bn.

It is revealed in an official report to the Ministry of NHS that Bill Gates recently announced an aid to knock out Polio from Pakistan. He met Pakistan’s PM Khaqan Abbasi last year in New York and appreciated the efforts of government for Polio knock out from the country.

PM also discussed the possibility of partnership between Pakistan and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The foundation has also decided to increase the aid for Pakistan not only for Polio eradication but for the improvement of other areas in health sector.

NHS official stated:

“Mr. Gates has nominated his technical team and it would hopefully meet the representatives of the ministry soon to finalize support in different sectors.”

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been previously aiding health sector of Pakistan and has donated 72bn rupees till now. This foundation is also playing a vital role in giving general health awareness and is providing financial and technical support to improve routine vaccination and particular vaccine promotions.
