Private sector should take part in CPEC: requests China

According to latest news from Islamabad the Chinese Ambassador says that active participation of the private sector of Pakistan in CPEC is vital for its super success and protecting good relations with Pakistan is a core part of their policies.

At a dinner hosted by Saleem Mandviwalla the Chairman Senate Standing Committee of Finance, while speaking about CPEC Yao Jing said: “China is developing its western part. He further added by saying “the private sector’s participation is necessary for CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) projects”.

He said:  “Our relations are driving force for the CPEC.” He highlighted the fact that more than $35bn would be allocated for the establishment of power projects to make Pakistan self-sufficient in providing its nation a non-stop power supply.

Saleem Mandviwalla expressed his views as:  “We worked hard to hand over Gwadar port to Chinese. I can recall whenever we met Win Ja Bao, ex-premier to China he used to ask when are you handing over Gwadar port,”

The initiative of developing “Special Economic Zone” would bring a new wave of industrialization by welcoming a new era of economic development in the country. To explore the maximum potential of SEZ initiative, the private sector of Pakistan should move forward and should play its active part in CPEC in terms of collaborating in technology transfer or sharing expertise with China to maximize the economic growth.
