According to latest news, in order to highlight the documentaries, short films, digital stories and photomontages, Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) is conducting a ‘CPEC Youth Contest-2018’ in Islamabad. This contest would launch and bring to light the art and culture along the Silk Route starting from Khunjerab Pass to Gwader.
According to an official from PNCA, the young artists living on the Silk Route are given a wonderful opportunity to present their relevant areas, cities, towns and villages. They could also take part in the youth contest which would cover the local traditions, customs, foods, historic sites, art and culture, dress and history.
The official said:
“The impressions of children and old people about their places of residence, work and study could also be included,”.
He further added that particular festivals, events and extraordinary happenings related to their areas could also be added in the contest.
The official promised to acknowledge the success of winning youth. He said:
“Prizes will be awarded to best entries in different categories judged by a jury of experts. Selected entries will be exhibited in six different cities of Pakistan at the conclusion of the contest.”
