According to a reliable source, Sheikh Amir Waheed, the President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has greatly emphasized the government to take proper measures for making sure that the Special Economic Zones under CPEC project be completed on its stipulated time. SEZ’s on time completion will boost up the business activities in the country and would strengthen its export as well.
The President ICCI said that CPEC has now given an entry in the second phase (LTP) ‘long term plan’ after completing the earlier phase (EHP)‘early harvest program’. He greatly emphasized that the government in second phase should focus to provide business cooperation in order boost industrialization in Pakistan. Local business community should capture good business opportunities in SEZ’s which would be established in the second phase of CPEC.
Iftikhar Ali, the VP SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chairman United Business Group expressed his views at the occasion and said the local business industry has great hopes with CPEC and the modernization of local business industry and infrastructure should be the core focus in the second phase that will covert Pakistan into an industrial country. The VP further stressed that the core focus should be on materializing joint ventures between Pakistan and China as it would fetch economic payback for the two countries.
