Report: CPEC Cultural Caravan Festival will be inaugurated on Feb 25

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cultural Caravan will be held at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) on February 25, Sunday. Director General (PNCA) Jamal Shah informed saying that the CPEC Cultural Caravan festival includes a variety of presentations including visual and arts and photography exhibitions, film, dance performance, fashion and textile show, book launch, handicrafts display in addition to Chinese and Pakistani cultural cuisine.


Jamal Shah noted that PNCA has the privilege of executing 2 vital initiatives including National Art’s Convention and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cultural Caravan (CCCC).

The festival was aimed to protect the paintings, drawings and artwork by artists during cultural caravan journey, he said. PNCA would organize an International Academic Seminar on the history and culture and existing relevance of historic Silk Route in Asia, Jamal Shah added.
“Series of short films and documentaries by filmmakers, each dedicated to one of the city/ caravanserais on the CPEC route would also be showcased.”


The government has approved National Film Academy Project which is a notable achievement, he stated. Artist’s welfare funds will be set up as well, he added.
