Report: Over 92,000 foreign visitors and 39,000 Chinese landed Pakistan after the inception of mega CPEC

According to the latsest report, since the official opening of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the launch of gigantic “Belt and Road Initiative” around 39,000 Chinese visited Pakistan since the last five years.

The report further told in order to manage this huge influx of foreign visitors to Pakistan, the government has issued above 92,204 visas to the foreign nationals in order to expand the business opportunities, foreign investment and promote tourism in Pakistan. There were almost 120 Pakistan’s abroad missions carried and under these missions 29,633 visas were issued to the foreigners in the year 2013, 10,267 in 2014, 22,932 in 2015, and 13,456 in the year 2016.

The report further revealed that more than 15,927 foreigners visited Pakistan in the year 2017. If the high influx of Chinese visitors is calculated since the inception of CPEC, 7859 visas are issued to the Chinese in this connection. According to an estimate around 91,000 Chinese landed in Pakistan after the start of mega CPEC.
