Punjab Governor: CPEC would not just benefit Pakistan but the whole region

According to a latest report, while speaking at the launch ceremony of annual report on Economic condition: Review and Analysis-2017 by Shahid Javed Barki Institute of Public Policy Institute (SJBIPPI) and Net Sol, Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana stated that the mega project CPEC would prove to be a game changer and ensure prosperity in the country.

A number of other officials were present on the occassion as well including former foreign minister Khursid Mahmood Kasuri, former foreign secretary Shamshad Ahmed Khan, Shahid Najam, former State Bank of Pakistan’s Governor Dr Ishrat Hussain, Ali Touqeer Sheikh. They also expressed themselves on the event.

The project would not just be great for Pakistan but the whole region, Rafique Rajwana added. He also said that the CPEC would benefit the far-flung and under developed areas and the agriculture sector as well.

The establishment of Special Economic Zones along sides the CPEC route, the world’s investors and major companies had now started making investments in Pakistan, he noted. He noted that this wave would make sure the establishment of new industries that to help create great employment opportunities for Pakistan’s youth and stabilize the economy as well.
