According to a reliable news source, it has been told that Iran has shown its great interest to enter into a partnership with Pakistan in CPEC. Therefore it is exploring new ways to collaborate with CPEC’s One Belt One Road project. Iran and Pakistan both share the ocean waters through which holds a great potential for carrying out trade through CPEC project in future.
It was expressed by Abbas Akhundi who is Iran’s Minister for Roads and Urbanization during his visit to Karachi Port Trust and was escorted high ranked Iranian delegation. He also showed interest in cargo transshipment and said that Iran greatly desires to work with Pakistan for the development of an inter-connected link between Karachi Port city and Bandar Abbas which is an Iranian Port city.
Due to seeking this partnership in CPEC port project, the land facility for transshipment cargo at Bandar Abbas was also sighted by the Iranian Minster.
