CPEC will not be a hurdle for Indian progress

China’s strategic stance on CPEC has become todays’ controversial topic. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Pakistan has already started gaining benefits from CPEC and stated:

“10,000 megawatts have been added to our national grid, ameliorating our chronic energy shortages”.

The difference over Kashmir between Pakistan and India makes India seriously alert about CPEC as it will be diagonal towards Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The CPEC has been considered as a great threat for India’s rise. However India is keeping an eye on the progress of CPEC. Actually it is not true. China has not developed any military base in Pakistan despite of the fact the Pakistan and China are working as ‘iron brothers’.

The major focus of CPEC is to bring the economic prosperity and is not aiming India as an enemy. CPEC aims to enhance the economic growth by enhancing international trade so it will not put any threat to India towards its progress.
