According to the latest news, Adnan Iqbal, Pakistan’s Commercial Counsellor to Korea, spoke about the importance of the CPEC with regard to business opportunities for pharmaceutical companies.
After the establishment of SEZs (Special Economic Zones) having low tariffs and utilities, foreign investors like Korea will be able to invest in Pakistan more conveniently, he said.
For years Pakistan has been a partner in the medical field of Korea. Pakistan has supplied Korea with a number of quality and cost effective medical devices.
A number of local physicians in favor prefer medical devices from Pakistan since they are more affordable and have same features as the other operational devices that come from advanced countries like Germany.
In addition, Iqbal also highlighted the significance of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Pakistan and China that aids pharmaceutical firms as well as medical devices in escalating their reach towards the markets in other parts of the world like Africa and the Middle East.
