According to latest news, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that sea is one of the most important factor to increase the regional trade and connectivity because 80% of the global trade is done through water.
The Prime Minister Khaqan Abbasi was addressing to an international maritime symposium. He said that the groundbreaking initiative of Gwadar port has made the Central Asian States keenly interested for carrying out free trade in the region. If Pakistan manages to deal with Afghanistan issue appropriately, Gwadar port will provide will become a potential link to connect Central Asian countries with the African and Middle Eastern trade markets.
While highlighting the potential of CPEC project, Khaqan said that the growth rate of Pakistan can rise from 6pc to 9pc if the CPEC is efficiently and timely completed.
