Dr Ishrat Hussain: Private sectors of Pakistan and China need to set up joint ventures in SEZs

Dr Ishrat Hussain, former governor of State Bank, recently focused on the significance of the CPEC. He said that it is vital to understand that Pakistan can just  benefit from CPEC if it makes an effort to make the most of it. he made this statement as his book launch “CPEC and Pakistan Economy: An appraisal”.

 

Policies like setting up joint ventures with Chinese firms in the proposed Special Economic Zones (SEZs) was a wonderful way to get maximum advantages from the project, he noted.

 

“It depends on us that how we take advantage of this opportunity (CPEC).”
