According to the latest report, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Mian Saqib Nisar, stressed the signifiance of having uniform laws, and processes to direct investments generating in for the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor).
“This requires further negotiations at state-to-state level and if necessary on the judicial level too. We believe that the judiciaries of both Pakistan and China need to work closely especially with regard to CPEC for developing mechanisms such as smart courts and information centers so that both the countries can progress hand in hand.”
He made this note during his recent visit to China while addressing the faculty members and students of the East China University Shanghai.
The judiciary has come up with laws in order to put an end to disputed related to the mega project CPEC timely basis with an exemption from stay orders, he noted.
There was much a need to integrate IT with the legal system among China and Pakistan to speed up the legal process, CJP added.
