CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) is offering tremendous opportunities for multiple industries in Pakistan including the auto industry.
Looking at the increased demand of the heavy vehicles in Pakistan, a joint venture between China’s Foton and Pakistan’s JW Group has been formalized as JW-Forland. This joint venture will aim to produce the cargo and dump trucks of 30,000 units on average annually for Pakistan.
The establishment and infrastructure of CPEC has driven the demand of heavy vehicles because the main transportation of cargo is only possible through heavy vehicles.
It is also reported that the JW Forland will maintain healthy environment by maintaining a substantial reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in their production.
