The Vise President of China, Wang Qishan has arrived in Islamabad on his three days official visit. During his visit to Pakistan, several Mous will be signed, meetings with President of Pakistan and Prime Minister of Pakistan is expected. The visit of Vise President of China is a part of China’s continuously support for Pakistan under CPEC.
ISLAMABAD: Chinese Vice-President (VP) Wang Qishan is set to arrive in Islamabad today on a three-day official visit,
During the visit, the Chinese VP is scheduled to hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Dr. Arif Alvi. Wang Qishan will also attend Sunday’s Pakistan-China investment summit at the President House.
After the summit, the Chinese VP will head to the PM House to attend an Iftar dinner hosted by PM Imran Khan.
According to Radio Pakistan, Wang Qishan is expected to sign MoUs and inaugurate Pakistan-China projects aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The visit, pegged to strengthen ties and cooperation, is a continuation of high-level exchanges between the two sides following the premier’s visits to China and participation in the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing last month.
A spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that Wang Qishan’s trip “will further deepen high-level exchanges, friendship and mutual trust between the two countries”.
“The visit will also advance the development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) besides bilateral cooperation across the board.”
He added that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners and iron friends, and firmly support each other on issues concerning each other’s foreign interests.
“Pakistan has been a priority on China’s diplomacy and now both the countries have witnessed a sound momentum in their cooperation and frequent high-level exchanges.”
Both countries are deepening their mutually beneficial cooperation and are conducting close coordination in international and regional affairs.
