France considering business opportunities under CPEC

According to a foreign delegation, France is interested to invest in the number of economic sectors of Pakistan to make the most of the business opportunities in the country with regard to the CPEC projects.  Thierry Pflimlin, president of Pakistan France Business Council stated:

“French companies are interested in investing in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, defence, and digital technology sectors. Everyone wants to benefit from new business opportunities being offered under the CPEC framework.”

During a meeting with Ahsan Iqbal, Pflimlin expressed that economic reforms have boosted  investment opportunities. He was leading a French business delegation that was visiting Islamabad and Karachi in order to check out the investment opportunities. French firms need to invest in Pakistan’s strong industrial sector and bring in new technologies, Mr. Iqbal expressed.

“It will help add value on different levels of production processes and increase production in general. Pakistan has a huge potential to generate quality exports if right and focused investments are made.”

Commerce minister Khurram Dastgir Khan stated during the meeting that a ‘Pakistan-France Business Opportunities Conference’ should be organised to ensure business to business interaction and to improve the bilateral trade further.

“Pakistan attaches immense importance to its relations with France. Pakistani market is mostly unexplored and has huge potential, thus offers lucrative investment opportunities.”
