Ahsan Iqbal: CPEC will help Pakistan make its way into global supply chain

While addressing inaugural session of the first Pakistan-China Forum on Higher Education, at Air University in Islamabad recently, Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan, stated that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an entry
for Pakistan into the global supply chain.
Organized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Chinese Association of Higher Education, during the event he said that the government is supportive of Higher Education Commission aimed at capacity building of current higher education institutions to prepare right HR for CPEC and promote cultural harmony between the two nations.

The efforts of the Higher Education Commission for building CPEC University Alliance and CPEC Consortium of Business Schools were also appreciated by Ahsan Iqbal. These efforts will help build collaborative linkages and intellectual connectivity which show the spirit of CPEC, he noted. In addition, he welcomed Chinese scholars to Pakistan as well.

Dr Arshad Ali, the Executive Director of HEC, thanked the Ahsan Iqbal for his support for higher education.
