CPEC to enter new era in 2018 with Afghanistan, Central Asia inclusion

CPEC, (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) will not just remain limited to China and Pakistan. The new Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing also expressed the same view while interacting with Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on CPEC .


The CPEC will enter a new era of development this year that is 2018, the Ambassador noted. He also stated that expansion of CPEC will include Afghanistan and the Central Asian states.
In his remarks, Mushahid Hussain Sayed stated that the CPEC was all about cooperation and connectivity, not just between Pakistan and China but also between countries of the region.
Mushahid Hussain Sayed said that Yao Jing is Pakistan’s old friend, having served here on 2 occasions before. He added that Yao knows Pakistan and the region pretty  well. He also expressed the confidence that during his tenure Pakistan-China relations will develop even more and CPEC will progress at a faster pace.


Ambassasdor Yao Jing also thanked Mushahid Hussain Sayed for his contribution to strengthening Pak-China relations, in the building of CPEC in particular.
