Businessmen should play a vital role in CPEC projects: Yao Ling

According to a new report, Mr. Yao Ling, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, showed his serious concerns to the local business to play a vital role by actively participating in CPEC projects. The magnificent CPEC has indeed unlimited possibilities and real potential to capitalize the business growth and prosperity.

While speaking to a delegation at Islamabad Chambers of Commerce Industry, The President ICCI Sheikh Amir Waheed acknowledged and strongly commended Yao Jing for his appointment as an Ambassador of China for Pakistan. He expressed his great hopes that he would play an integral part in enhancing bilateral cooperation and business relation between Pakistan and China.  He admits that the equality in trade is really in favor of both countries.

During his talk he suggested a key point that the Chinese embassy should also share the important information about the potential demand of Products of Pakistan in Chinese market. It will help the private sector to take advantage to fill the existing demands and will surely explore the business avenues in China.

Yao Ling laid a stressed fact that the private sector should play an active role in creating joint ventures and should make investments in CPEC projects. In order to encourage the investment of local investors Special Economic zones (SEZs) are also formed in Pakistan. SEZs will aim to offer valuable partnerships and joint ventures between Pakistan and China. He further emphasized that Pakistan should take advantage from Chinese expertise to gear up the economic growth as China has achieved fast economic growth in past.

He further spoke that the Pakistani business community should take an important role to enhance the exports and trade with China. He promised to work with ICCI to encourage the strong connection between the private sectors of Pakistan and China.

The president added the CPEC holds a great hope for the economic development and the Embassy of China should give thorough briefing sessions on CPEC in ICCI. It will educate and make its members well aware of the expected strengths and challenges in CPEC to develop their business strategies to take maximize the business growth.  China should share and transfer its expertise also in the areas of technology to Pakistan’s private sector. The quick inflow of Chinese delegations have is expressed their strong consideration towards the remarkable CPEC project. The delegations desire to create bilateral win-win business opportunities between Pakistan and China.
