Special Economic Zones should be developed under CPEC

According to latest news, The Council of Common Interests, CCI has given the directions to the provinces to submit their related documents required for the execution of the development of the Special Economic Zones under CPEC.

A meeting was called in the Prime Minister House by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, The Prime Minister of Pakistan. Syed Murad Ali Shah the CM Sindh, Pervaiz Khattak CM KPK, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo CM Balochistan , Dr. Ayesha Ghaus the Finance Minster and the senior officials of provincial government also attended the meeting.

In the meeting the CCI took a detailed review of the performance and decision making status since its last held meeting on Nov 24th, 2017. The matters related to higher education was also discussed and was agreed that the federal and the provincial governments will do the evaluation and monitoring of accreditations of the educational institutes.

Power, food security and water supply issues were also discussed in CCI meeting. During the meeting it was decided that the federal government would formulate a national policy for the well being of senior citizens of Pakistan.
