Report: IGP Sindh reviewed the security issues related to CPEC and Non-CPEC projects

According to a new report, A.D. Khawaja, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, reviewed the security measures for CPEC projects, non-CPEC projects as well as affairs of Provincial Foreign Security Cell.

In the meeting, it was decided that the Home department Sindh will be advised for increasing the Special Protection Unit (SPU) scope. In addition, as per another statement, it will be recommended that the portfolio of DIG SPU should be changed as DIG Foreign Security who shall be the chief of PFSC as well.

The duties of DIG PFSC will include keeping in touch with district foreigners security cells, ensuring the security of Chinese nationals connected with CPEC and other projects and other foreigners.
