According to a latest report, an Applied Technologies Institute (ATIN) has been established by the National Logistics Cell (NLC) in Gilgit together with the Gilgit-Baltistan government and the Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA). The purpose of the institute is to equip the youth of GB with the latest technical education that would help them make the most of the CPEC job opportunities.
The report reveals that the building is complete now and the NLC is hiring staff in a variety of fields including electrical, civil and mechanical technology. ATINs are being run in Khairpur, Amangarh Mandra as well as Dina.
The institutes are linked with the National Training Bureau as well as the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission. Over 5,000 people have been trained there already. Classes will start in Gilgit soon too.
