
According to Hassan Daud, the Project Director of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the second unit of Port Qasim Coal Power Plant will start generating electricity this month. It will add 660 MW to the national grid, he said.
Super environment-friendly tech had been used in the Port Qasim plant, he stated.
Hassan Daud noted that work on CPEC projects in going on steadily. 10,400 MW have already been added to the system, he added.
“First unit of the Port Qasim plant added 660 megawatts of electricity to the national grid station while its second unit will start the generation of 660 megawatts during the current moth.”
After getting over the energy shortfall, Pakistan’s industries would progress and there would be tons of jobs opporunities for the youth, Daud added.
