Water desalination plant will be established for the people of Gwadar: Ahsan Iqbal

According to the latest report, Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, said that a water desalination plant will be established by the Federal Government in Gwadar.

There has been much speculation about Gwadar’s insufficient water supply but now we have got some good news. The government has finally taken notice of the issue and now assuring that it will address the water problem.

 

The purpose of the water plant is to provide 5 million gallons of water daily to the people of Gwadar city. Ahsan Iqbal spoke about this development at a summit organized to review the projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

 

The Federal Government has enough funds essential for the construction of the plant, he said.

 

As soon as the Government of Balochistan completes the bidding process for this project, the Federal Government will begin the construction of the water plant at once, he assured.
