Report: Dhabeji SEZ is taking shape now, NLC will begin operations

According to a the latest news, National Logistics Cell (NLC) just revealed a plan to establish a logistics park. The idea of setting up the logistics park is to facilitate trade and industry at the proposed special economic zone in Dhabeji.A memodandum of understanding was signed between the Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) and NLC for the establishment of the park within the proposed China-Pakistan special economic zone, which is sited around 80 kilometers from airport.

As per the agreement, SBI would offer facilitation to NLC for its part as Logistics Park’s management organisation with the partnership of foreign commercial enterprises as well as Chinese enterprises with experience in establishment and management of a best quality special economic zone of the kind.

According to a statement:“Through this agreement both sides will actively carry out the engagements for establishment of the Logistics Park, in accordance with the master plan and feasibility study of the China-Pakistan Special Economic Zone Dhabeji.”
