According to the latest report, Syed Ali Zafar, Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage, stated there was much room for cooperation between Pakistan and Thailand in a variety of fields including culture, heritage and tourism. He made this statement during a meeting with a media delegation from Thailand.
He also noted that the relationship between the two countries was deeply rooted in their ancient cultures. He added that Gandhara civilization and Buddhist heritage could play a critical role in developing friendship between Pakistan and Thailand.
“We are a peace loving nation and believe in peaceful coexistence, which has also been the hallmark of Buddha’s teachings.”
The Thai delegation thanked the minister for the warm welcome. They showed much interest for cooperation in the culture and tourism.
