Pakistan bags Tech Giant Google Faculty Research Award

Pakistan continues to bag notable awards in the international arena. Recently two professors from LUMS University won Tech Giant Google Faculty Research Award, which is the biggest achievement for Pakistan. Dr. Ihsan Ayub Kazi, the associate professors at Computer Science department and Dr. Ihsan Ayub Kazi, the Chair and Associate Professor and Dr. Zafar Ayyub Kazi are the lucky ones who won this award for the country. They teach at Syed Babar Ali School of  Science and Engineering (SBASSE) in LUMS.

No more than 15% of people who send proposals get the awards, which makes it a great achievement. Just less than 5% proposals belonging outside of United States generally attain this award.

The proposal for the project was for web technologies. The requirements were to make technologies to help run the Web performance on slow devices faster.
