Pakistan has invited Saudi Arabia to join CPEC. After Prime Minister Imran Khan’s two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia is agreed to join CPEC as a third strategic partner. The news was revealed by Federal Minister for Information Fawad Ahmed Chaudhry in a press conference in Islamabad
China Taken Into Confidence Before Inviting Saudi Arabia In CPEC
On Thursday in a press conference, Fawad Chaudhry quoted that Saudi Arabia is ready to invest heavily in multi-billion dollars China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He also highlighted that Saudi Arabia is the first country Pakistan has invited to spend in CPEC and become a third economic partner in CPEC.
Saudi Arabia’s Finance, Energy, and Trade minister will visit Pakistan in the first week of October to discuss the security and trade concerns. A high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will also visit Pakistan to discuss trade and security, Said by Fawad Chaudhry.
Fawad Chaudhry has not highlighted anything related to Saudi Arabia Loaning Money to Pakistan to help its ailing economy, But he said that we are expecting a massive investment in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia.
Further, he said that projects that Saudi Arabia would be investing in the CPEC would be revealed after the visit of the high-level delegation of Saudi Arabia.
Fawad Chaudhry also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the Saudi leadership that we would continue to provide security to their country and provide strategic support wherever needed.
